Jack Suridge

Board Member ~ Chair

Jack Suridge

Jack is a commercial and property lawyer working in private practice. He has experience in a broad range of commercial and property related matters and brings this expertise to his role on the RDA Tasmania board.


In addition to his legal expertise, Jack brings skills and experience from several previous volunteer roles in not-for-profit and community-based organisations. This includes being a former Vice President of Community Engagement Tasmania (COMET) an organisation which provides basic legal education to at risk youth in the community.


Jack enjoys volunteering with RDA, he believes strongly in the work of RDA Tasmania and has a strong belief in the role of community-based organisations more generally. 

Stephanie Mirowski

Board Member ~ Vice Chair 

Stephanie Mirowski

Stephanie holds over 20 years of experience in stakeholder engagement and events management and a wealth of experience working within Tasmanian State Government and for an Independent Statutory Authority.


A strong passion for helping others to create positive social change, Stephanie is accomplished in building strong relationships with various stakeholders, at all levels, in a kind and respectful way.


Stephanie holds post-graduate qualifications in journalism and media studies, and business as well as recognised certificates in project management.

Suzy Levy

Board Member ~ Secretary

Suzy Levy

With over 25 years working with businesses in Sydney NWS and the NW coast of Tasmania, Suzy Levy has a background in diverse industries ranging from film & television production, advertising, marketing, employment services to hospitality and agriculture.

Having worked in roles such as producer, production manager, business manager and employment consultant as well as running a family cattle business, Suzy understands the importance quality, safety and customer focus plays in contributing to organisational success and knows how to deliver results.

Heavily involved with Disability Employment Services for ten years, then moving into the mainstream employment service sector, Suzy specialised in frontline service delivery, management and driving positive results. 

Suzy has a Masters of Business Administrations from UTAS and a strong focus on governance, operational fluidity, change management and sustainable business culture.

As a believer of an opportunity for everyone, being a part of a social enterprise is important to Suzy as she continues to contribute to Tasmanian businesses and organisations in both employment and volunteer capacities.

Stephanie Huizing

Stephanie is a licensed real estate agent and business owner.  Her experience in a broad range of management and leadership roles combined with the knowledge and learning of a Masters of Business Administration, has given her the ability to lead teams, be involved in strategy formulation, and build organisational capability. This experience spans companies and business units at varying stages of growth, from start-up to national organisations in real estate and banking. 

 

As a passionate, lifelong equestrian and horse owner, Stephanie is a great believer in the healing power of animal therapy and how building a bond can help reduce stress and lead to a better emotional state.

Claudia Nevah

EO & State Coaching Coordinator

Claudia Nevah

Claudia has been involved with RDA in Tasmania since 2008. She started volunteering on riding days with RDA Kingborough and also served as a centre committee member in various roles.

 

She gained her Level 1 Coach accreditation in 2012 and joined the State Board as State Coaching Coordinator in 2013. Claudia was appointed to the role of State Delegate on the National Program Delivery Riding Committee in 2016 and as the State Delegate to represent RDA Tasmania at National level in 2017. She was appointed to the position of Executive Officer for RDA Tasmania in 2019.

Claudia has been involved with horses throughout her life in the Netherlands, England, New Zealand and Australia. She is a mother of two children and her family takes every opportunity to hike and travel.

Claudia is committed to continue her dedication to RDA Tasmania. She supports the Board and assists Centres to comply with legislative and RDA requirements and helps Centres to maintain the high standards of the RDA coaching program which provides riders with a fantastic well-rounded program.
