Support RDA Tasmania
For more than 40 years, centres within Tasmania have been providing this worthwhile service to riders of all ages, ability levels and a range of backgrounds who either happen to have a disability or a special need that makes this a worthwhile and therapeutic experience for them.
We could not have lasted this long without the generous support of individuals and organisations within the community. Such support comes through individual donations or sponsorship. If you are interested in becoming a supporter of our organisation or would just like to give a once-off donation please.
What sort of costs do centres need support with? As you may be aware maintaining horses is an expensive business. They need constant investment in feed, worming, farriers, vet checks, dental care and paddock maintenance. In addition to their "On-Road" costs, there are many other less common costs such as outfitting of gear for riding programs and gear for horse well-being. This is just the tip of the iceberg as to what centres need. Many are responsible for the upkeep and development of the land they are on which means site improvements are impossible without large grants.
As not-for-profit organisations, which only charge a nominal fee for riding, most of our centres income comes largely from fundraising or grants. It is evident that with this in mind your assistance goes a long way in helping both the individual centres and the state organisation to function well.
